Put These three Backlink Constructing Tricks to Boost Your Traffic Now

Every good marketer or webmaster ought to know that one of the best kind of traffic is the traffic coming in from search engines. Getting ranked with the search engines can get you hundreds if not hundreds of visitors at no cost. But in an effort to obtain that it is advisable to concentrate on one of the crucial necessary on-page SEO factor and that’s link building. If you’ll be able to create prime quality links to your web site it will probably be easier to rank higher. The following data will look into three suggestions for link constructing you could implement immediately. These strategies will work wonders for you whether you’re attempting to boost your ranking for a low-competition keyphrase such as “venapro reports” or something more competitive like “nutritional supplements” or “celebrity gossip.”

3 BackLink Strategies That Work

1. Amazon Reviews:

One of the most underutilized ways for building backlinks to your site is to review products on sites like Amazon.com and ePinions. This is a good way to showcase your expertise and get backlinks to your blog. When search engines like Google see that you are getting backlinks from authority sites like Amazon, then things will start to look up for you. Make sure that you’re posting your reviews to products only in those niches that are relevant to your site so that your backlinks are targeted. Your reviews don’t have to be any more than 150 words because your only purpose is to get a backlink by giving out value. People who read your reviews and are interested in learning more could click to your site, which would be wonderful for you in the long run.

2. Blog Comments:

Another effective way of building backlinks is by placing comments on blogs in your same niche. This is an awesome and easy method for acquiring good backlinks to your site because the other blog will allow you to place a link back to your blog too. The more blogs that you discover in your targeted subject, the more backlinks that you will accumulate. Besides, when you make comments on other blogs, this will drive traffic to your website from people who look at your comments and click to your blog. So use your time and locate some good blogs and start making comments.

3. Contests:

The last backlinking trick I want to touch on is using contest to acquire links. Numerous webmasters and blog owners use blogging contests to get others to link to them. There are various ways of doing this. One of such is by sponsoring contest and then ensuring that the contestants link to your site. This is an easy method for attracting link partners and getting related backlinks from other sites. Just be certain that everyone involved in the contest is qualified.

All in all, from the above we come to understand the ins and outs of building backlinks to a website. It is a feat that can take a considerable amount of time, but the success that you will see from creating a good link building campaign will be a huge plus. Always keep in mind that the more backlinks that are generated for your website, the more chances you have for getting ranked high by the search engines.

  1. Amazon product reviews! Doh! Why didn’t I think of that? =) I’m going to make a list tomorrow of all the products in my niche that we actually own, and I”m going to write reviews for them. I can’t believe I never thought of this!

And commenting, I’ve been doing that for a while, and I think I’ve been building up a bit of a reputation slowly, one comment at a time.

And contests? What a coincidence! I actually just posted my very first giveaway on my blog over at modernaboriginalmama. I invite you to come see! It’s actually a marketing book. I figure online marketers and bloggers are parents, too, right? =)

    Take care!

    • Hey Delena, you just gave me an idea there. You know though I’ve known about amzon product reviews for some time now I’ve never really done anything about. But come to think of it, you idea of making a list of the products you already have is something that can really be useful. I think I’ll be doing the same and using them for some product reviews. Thanks for popping this into my head! 🙂

      • Hi Chadrack,

Awesome! I’m glad I was able to give you an idea or two about better ways to build backlinks. It just hit me how much I underestimate Amazon, and since parents are great marketing material for product reviews (through being given gifts for their children, buying their own necessities, etc.) that I figured why not already start with what I had?

=) I’d be interested to hear how it goes for you! I’m still writing my list, lol.

  2. Hello Rhonda!
You have great ideas on ways how to boost your site’s traffic. This is the first time I heard of Amazon reviews as one way of traffic building. What other sites you can recommend aside from Amazon? I’m excited how to know how this things works.
    Thanks a lot!

    • Hi Lora, there are really many other sites where you can get back links through reviews. I think you can use dmoz.com and alexa.com also if you really know what to do.

  3. I did a few pages on my site containing product reviews. I reviewed products that I’d bought recently or products that I was going to buy. I chose the products from Amazon’s lists of top 100 products during the month. Unfortunately for me, my Google Webmaster Tool tells me that the product review pages on my site are way down in the search results. In fact, there have been no human visitors to these pages in a month.

Your idea of reviewing products on sites like Amazon.com and ePinions is a good one. It is indeed a good way to showcase my expertise and get backlinks to my blog. I’ll do it this month and monitor the progress.

    • Hi Russell, your experience tells much about what google is doing with the new algorithm change. Is the product review pages on your site written by you or you simply used the same review content on Amazon.com? I have the feeling that google is seeing your product review pages as duplicate content hence they are way down in the search results.

  4. Im submitting my site to quality, human reviewed web directories to help with backlink purposes and SEO. Is this an acceptable SEO building practise, and are web directories normally held in good repute so there will be no repurcussions from me doing this? I will only be submitting to high PR web directories and those that show quality.

  5. No prizes for working out whether I use comments and contests (like yours, which by the way, I think that it is a really good idea from a bloggers point of view!)

I never really thought about product reviews to be honest… are most of the links dofollow then?
Even if they aren’t I guess they are still good from a traffic perspective 🙂

  6. I think if you are marketing a small business, the most important thing is to put yourself in the shoes of your prospective customers, and understand the benefits from THEIR side. Respect their time. Give them good information.

    • That really is one of the best ways of marketing your business. Know what you customers/prospects wants and present it in way that perfectly suit their taste.

  7. Also EXTREMELY POWERFUL…is WordPress.com and Squidoo.com. A tiny bit more work, but well worth the effort. They are FREE…and anyone can get started here with NO cash!

    • Yeah, wordpress.com and squidoo.com are really great in building backlinks. But there should be some caution when using wordpress.com. I’ve had some of my blogs there closed down in the past simply because there were seen as spams since there were only linking to a particular site!

Thanks for joining the conversaion. Will love to see you again and please can you add you firstname when next you make a comment?

  8. Yes, commenting is worth doing. And while dofollow comments give you direct benefit, nofollow ones are worthwhile also. The reason is that you’ll get some clicks coming in off them – particularly if they are on high traffic blogs.

Also, by being seen by both the blog owner and also lots of other bloggers who are themselves commenting, you might eventually get a dofollow link from one of them in time. That’s why it’s always worth writing something thoughtful and non-spammy.

    • @Matt, truly agree with you. Commenting is and will always continue to be a powerful way of generating traffic. And though, dofollow blogs have some advantages, even the nofollow blogs are very important as you mentioned. You made it very clear indeed and every blogger should have a mix of nofollow and dofollow blogs for commenting on.
      Thanks for the comment.

  9. Hi,

There are a lot of factors to follow and rules to respect. stand out from the crowd, it is one of the best ways to increase traffic, think of it like this: why would anyone visit my website upon a competitor of mine on the same niche ? What’s so special and unique about my website ? Why should I deserve more traffic upon one of my competitors ? Those are great questions that you must answer yourself being sincerely, answer the questions then start working harder and better, try to focus more on your work and don’t think non-stop about the money, keep the passion for your work on. Thank you very much for sharing this excellent article, keep up the good work !

    Best regards,

    • @DJ Trinity, thanks for adding these salient points. It’s definitely an important idea to answer these questions before really setting up a system to drive traffic. I believe  a well laid out plan will be of great help. Thanks for commenting.

  10. These really are effective ways to boost the traffic to your site. Although there are many other ways that one could use to increase traffic, these are some of the best ways that any blog owner can use in order to maximize on the traffic flow to his or her site.

  11. I agree that most webmasters do not quite understand how to use reviews to create backlinks. I, myself, was not educated on this very critical topic until I read your blog. I will be using reviews more and more to build quality backlinks from Amazon.
