Aviod Make Money Working Online Scams As A Blogger!

It is a confirmed fact that many bloggers, especially those just startig out, are turning to make money working online programs. These bloggers wants to use their blogging experience to earn some extra income working from home. With the blogging enviroment getting heated up with more competition this may be a good idea. However you must understand that there are many make money working online scams out there.

Make money working online jobs or programs are work at home jobs that are becoming popular these days as more and more people wants the freedom of choice of when to work and where to work.  If you want to use your blogging experience to earn with these home based jobs then you must watch out for scammers.

This is the unfortunate truth that we have to live with on the internet these days. Make money working online scams take many forms. E.g. work at home companies who will require you spend money on instructions before getting the job, those that want you to pay for your training, those offering false jobs and even the ones that will never mention how many hours you would need to work without pay.

Get Paid to Take Surveys In order to avoid being a victim of make money working online scams you need to scrutinize every potential company before accepting any job.  Here at the Web Income Journal we are devoted to guiding you on earning a good income on the internet so we want to give you some tips to help you avoid falling into make money working online scams.

These are the things you should watch out for:

1. If you need to provide personal information, avoid giving it to an unknown person or company. Provide personal information only to the company that you confirm is legitimate. But the question is how do you confirm this? A few ways to do this is to run a search online using the company’s name. Post questions about the company on work at home forums asking for comments and desiring to know if any one the forum is using that company. However be careful here as  you may receive many other offers that has nothing to do with what you’re looking for!

2. Check to know if there are complaints about your potential company. To do this simply type the name of the company in the search box of Better Business Bureau. If there is any complaint about that company, avoid contact with it.

3. Always remember that there is no easy road to wealth. Any make money working online job requires some effort to earn a good income on the net. Therefore beware of companies that promise to make you rich overnight, there is no such thing.

Another common form of make money working online scam these days is reshipping fraud. In this type of work at home job, the home based worker needs to receive, repack and then mail the merchandise to a foreign address. They are promised a substantial amount of money. But the worker may not know that the merchandise was paid for with stolen credit cards. This form of scam will not only deprive you of your hard earned money but also make you privy to receiving and mailing stolen goods without your knowledge. You may receive the merchandize, repackage it with your own funds having the mind of getting paid in full on pay day. But that never happens, in fact, it gets worst! Be wise so that you never fall foul of the law!

Yes, bloggers have many ways of making money online with their skills but always watch out for these scams. If you want to select a legitimate make money working online job, never accept any job offer that promises to provide high income for a part time job. Do your checks before accepting any offer.

Besides,if you are asked to pay for start up kits that definitely should give you the red lights. No legitimate company will charge you anything to hire you. Do not send your money to such companies.

I do hope these tips are helpful.

  1. I agree.  You have to be careful to protect yourself from scams.  I try to look for a few things when I visit a make money site.  I look at the site and see if it’s well designed.  I don’t want some fly by night website to scam me.
Then I look to see if they have a clear TOS written out.  I think that’s important that they have at least thought out some of their policies.
Then I want to see what kinds of tools they give me to track my earnings.  Some sites don’t give you any tracking tools and I don’t like that.
Finally, I look for any reviews about the site.

    • Yea, it simply means looking out for yourself. There is no point wasting your time and money for something that will never be.

      Thanks for the visit.

  2. Hi Chadrack,
With so much Social Networking we are all involved in now, it’s easy to forget there are some real sharks out there. We interact with many people who are helpful and honest. Then we let our guard down a bit at times when dealing with online companies that don’t have our best interests at heart.
Some bloggers get discouraged after awhile and in desperation can become easy prey for the people you refer to.
It’s good to be reminded to be careful 🙂
    Rick

    • Oh great, we just need to be always on our guard. The internet is still being filled by those who are out to fleece the unsuspecting of their hard earned cash. Thanks for the visit and your time in posting a comment.

  3. Hmm. I so wasn’t aware of this reshipping fraud of a thing. I guess it also places you on the police force’s wanted list as the goods bought the stolen credit cards were sent to your place first.

I even hear that this whole data entry stuff is all about advertising with your own money on Google Adwords. Abeg can you verity this ’cause I think it’s absolutely disgusting!

    • Hi Chuks, glad to have you around.

There are actually some legitimate work at home jobs as data entry staff. However there are those who are capitalizing on the ignorance of many to perpetuate scams. If you must get into all these you must only be involved with the recommendation of a trusted friend. Read in between the lines before committing yourself. And obvious to look out for is if you’re being asked to pay before getting involved. In that case the better word is flee!

  10. I agree with some of your points but quite disagree with some of them especially the one that has to do with making payment for starter kit, I think the approach should be once you can verify the offer is on better business bureau, it is safe to do business with them but most important that any of these ways to make money online will certainly not give you a six figure income…

    • Yea Iroko. You’re quite right with your points. I think that is the same as what I tried to put across in point #2 and #3 in the post.

The point about paying for starter kits is to show that this is one of very common tactics used by scammers. It plays out like a pillar scheme where you pay for the kit and the person who refered is credited with a commission. You go on to look for some other people who will be willing to pay for the kit and you’re credited with a commission. So what is really happening is the same kit being passed around without any real value being added to lives. As long as you recieve a commission you consider it a legitimate business but it is not. Very soon people will understand it to be what it is and you then discover you were the sucker!

      Thanks for the comment.

  22. These are all great tips. I think the one that everyone needs to remember is that there’s NO easy road to wealth. Even online where you have millions of potential customers, you have to still provide a honest, helpful product that people will want to buy. Unfortunately nowadays scammers have realized that with manipulation techniques and exploiting people’s desperation, they can still swindle people. THOSE are the ones that you really have to  keep an eye on.

    • Yeah Lakshmi, that’s why information like this needs to be more promoted online. Many unscrupulous elements believes the best way of making it online is by taking advantage of those who are desperate about using the internet to make ends meet. Thanks for the comment.

  23. You’re right mate… most of the people get caught to a lot of scams due to their impatience and the greed for money!

    • Hi Kate,

I agree with you on that point. May be these people are too desperate that their emotions over ride their senses.
